A: HHF, on Huna Totem Corporation's behalf, conducts Educational, Vocational, and Cultural assistance programs.
Q:What are the amounts of HHF Education Assistance grants?
A: The amount is dependent on which program you applied for:
  • Emergency Education awards are limited to $2,000 during a calendar year.
  • Vocational Education awards vary in amount and are generally only granted once to a student.
  • Cultural Education Assistance grants are generally under $250. Students can receive only two awards during a five-year period
Q:When are HHF's deadlines?
A: There are two deadlines for HHF Education Assistance Grants:
  • October 31st: 1st/2nd Quarter / 1st Semester
  • January 31st: 3rd/4th Quarter / 2nd Semester
Q:Is a new application required for each funding cycle?
A:Yes. Students must submit a new application with updated financial information and transcripts for each HHF funding cycle.
Q:Will HHF mail application forms to me?
A:Students can receive application forms via postal service, fax, or email. They can also utilize this site and contact Education Programs on the Contact Us page or download from the applications page.
Q:How are HHF Education Assistance grant funds distributed?
A:Education Assistance funds are awarded to the school in the student's name; checks are mailed to the school's Financial Aid Office.
Q:For what purposes can HHF Education Assistance funds be used?
A:HHF funds are intended to assist students meet school-related expenses. HHF may authorize funds to be released to the student to meet related non-school expenses.
